Classification of foundries
Gravity casting

Gravity casting has the advantages of simple process, low mold cost, less internal pores, and heat treatment, but it also has poor compaction and slightly poor strength. It should not produce thin-walled parts, low surface finish, low production efficiency, and high cost defects.
Die casting
A method for filling a cavity of a die-casting mold with liquid or semi-liquid metal under high pressure, and forming and solidifying under high pressure.
High-pressure casting can quickly fill the mold, with high production efficiency, good product density, high hardness, good surface finish, and can produce relatively thin-walled parts; at the same time, due to the filling of high-pressure air, there are many gases involved inside, which is easy to work in the product Porosity is formed inside, so heat treatment (inner gas heat treatment will expand, causing defects such as product expansion or cracks) and post-processing (to avoid exposing the subcutaneous pores through the dense surface layer, zinc alloy die casting scrap).
